Real Madrid happy with centre back options for 2024/25 season

Real Madrid could opt against any further transfer signings this summer.

Los Blancos are planning for the new campaign and Carlo Ancelotti was rumoured to be looking for one defender to cover his options.

After losing out to Manchester United in the race for Leny Yoro, Ancelotti was linked with Spain star Aymeric Laporte, but he is staying in Saudi Arabia.

Ancelotti has two senior players at both right and left back, and despite a question mark at centre back, the Italian is sticking with what he already has.

David Alaba is not expected to return from injury until at least the end of 2024 with Eder Militao only just back from a long lay off.

Antonio Rudiger remains crucial, and as per reports from Mundo Deportivo, there will be a fresh chance for Jesus Vallejo.

Despite never nailing down a first team spot, the experience of a loan stint at Granada has benefitted him, and he will be Ancelotti’s fourth choice central defender in the months ahead.
