Real Madrid will not allow Vinicius Junior to leave, even if another team is willing to make him the most expensive player ever. The Brazilian is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia.
Vinicius is reportedly yet to respond to a proposal from Saudi Arabia that would make him the best-paid player in the history of sport, with the potential for him to earn €350m per year. Marca have revealed that the team in question is Al-Ahli, but one of the conditions for a move would be that Los Blancos negotiate a price with the Saudi side.
Real Madrid are braced for a gargantuan offer in the coming days for Vinicius, but are not considering a world where he is not in their team, say Diario AS. They will refer Al-Ahli to his €1b release clause.
It would be a major surprise if Vinicius were to entertain the idea of leaving Real Madrid at the top of his game, and while he might not have made a decision, there is a good chance that he will not have to, if Los Blancos refuse to negotiate. Al-Ahli will no doubt test their luck though, as signing Vinicius would be a major power-play, and they could well finance Real Madrid’s transfer business for several years.
