Report: After Todibo, West Ham prepare £29m bid for attacker who impressed at Euro 2024

According to a recent report, West Ham United are lining up an offer for a highly-rated attacker in Europe.
Having already signed Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman, The Hammers are now after another central defender and a forward.
That said, they’ve just had a bid accepted for Jean-Clair Todibo, though, Juventus are believed to have hijacked the deal.
Whilst they work on that deal, Julen Lopetegui’s chiefs are also readying a substantial offer for a versatile forward.
West Ham prepare £29m bid for Baris Alper Yilmaz
According to Sabah, West Ham are preparing a £29m bid for Galatasaray forward Baris Alper Yilmaz. It’s claimed the offer will be submitted soon.
Yilmaz really impressed at Euro 2024 with Turkey and has been subject to interest from a number of clubs in the Premier League, including Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton.
It’s understood that Galatasaray are keen to keep hold of their prized asset with Champions League football on the horizon.
The Turkish champions will try to convince him to stay.
Baris Alper Yilmaz profile
Yilmaz is a very versatile attacker having plied his trade off both flanks, as a number 10 and even as a centre-forward.
He netted seven times whilst laying on 12 assists last season and Virgil van Dijk admitted he struggled to defend him when Netherlands faced Turkey in the quarter-finals.
As quoted by Milliyet, the Liverpool defender said: “Baris Alper Yilmaz was running constantly. He was running elusive. It was difficult for every defender.
“He made it very hard for us. He couldn’t score a goal though. If we were to describe him in any way, he is a really important player.”
