Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both on the up and will fancy their respective chances of bringing silverware to North London over the coming years.
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners triumphed over Spurs in the last North London derby and are firmly in Premier League title contention.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are slowly but surely building something exciting under Ange Postecoglou, and it’ll be intriguing to see how they get on.
Recruitment has been key for both Arsenal and Spurs in recent years, with both clubs making some solid signings for the present and future.
Now, an update has emerged regarding an exciting youngster who was linked with both North London sides over the summer.
Arsenal and Tottenham summer target Patrick Dorgu given £25m price tag
The player in question is Lecce’s Patrick Dorgu, who has been linked with Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea in recent months.
For instance, Spurs were said to have made contact over the 19-year-old full-back, while the Gunners and the Blues have reportedly also been circling.
Dorgu is also said to be on the radar of Juventus, with Tuttojuve now providing a transfer update on the youngster.
The report claims Lecce are working to extend Dorgu’s contract, but at the same time have set a price tag of €30million (£25million) ahead of the January transfer window.
Dorgu has apparently ‘fascinated’ Chelsea, while Juve reportedly approached the Denmark international, whose contract runs until the summer of 2027.
Who is Patrick Dorgu? Arsenal and Tottenham target’s career and style of play
Patrick Dorgu is a 19-year-old professional football player who plies his trade at Italian Serie A side Lecce and represents Denmark at international level.
The 6ft 2in talent was born in the Copenhagen district of Husum and began his football journey at local club Husum Boldklub.
Dorgu then joined Danish giants Nordsjaelland before linking up with Lecce’s academy in 2022, where he has since become a first-team regular.
Goal.com previously suggested that some people in Italy have compared Dorgu to Tottenham and Italy star Destiny Udogie.
Meanwhile, analyst Ben Mattinson recently said on X that he believes the player is “one of the best young profiles out there for LB”.

Dorgu said to have many Premier League suitors
Kingsley Ogbodo, Dorgu’s agent, spoke last year of how his client is a “huge talent” with many Premier League eyes looking his way.
He told Bold: “Liverpool are of course not the only club that want him. There are many clubs here in England who are keeping an eye on him.
“Manchester City kept an eye on him when he played against England for the U19 national team in Hobro in Denmark.
“Lecce’s scout has also told me that Barcelona is also keeping an eye on Patrick, because he’s a huge talent.”
