However, the transfer business continues to rumble on in the background for Arsenal as they look to complete their first major signing.
Calafiori is now undergoing his medical with Arsenal on Saturday after new plans were arranged following a slight delay.
But the north London side will now be preparing themselves for their next signing with the Italian centre-back now all but secured.
Barcelona pull out of race to sign Arsenal target
Arteta is now beginning to see his squad at Arsenal come together this summer with some of his international players now trickling back from their breaks.
And the Arsenal manager is wanting to see Calafiori travel immediately to America following his medical in London.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have now halted their interest in midfielder Mikel Merino.
Hansi Flick’s side are now fully focusing on their pursuit of Nico Williams following his stunning Euro 2024 display.
Ironically, Williams is also a player who Arsenal admire this summer but Barcelona are really pushing for the winger.
Arsenal convinced Mikel Merino wants to sign for them
With a deal for Calafiori now looking to be wrapped up, Arsenal can focus their attention elsewhere in the transfer market.
Arsenal now believe Merino has decided he wants to join this summer despite interest arriving from his homeland.
Having Barcelona halt their interest in the midfielder will be a big boost for the Gunners who will be hoping to continue their progress in the market.
The ‘world class‘ Merino enjoyed an impressive Euro 2024 campaign and adding a player of his ilk to the Arsenal squad would surely be a real statement of intent for the new campaign.
