Report: Crystal Palace want to sign 'unbelievable' player who Roberto De Zerbi said could win the Ballon d'Or

Crystal Palace have had some fine players over the last decade or so but they could now go even further an land a player tipped to win the Ballon d’Or.

The Eagles have enjoyed huge success in recent times with exciting players like Wilf Zaha, Michael Olise and Ebere Eze all lighting up Selhurst Park in their own way.

Under Oliver Glasner, Palace have tried to move away from simply being a team who are hard to beat and get themselves to a level where the football excites the fans.

Of course, to do that, Palace need attacking players who can deliver in the final third.

And according to reports from Football Transfers, Palace are now looking to make a move on Chelsea to improve their attacking options.

Crystal Palace considering loan move for Chelsea’s Mykhaylo Mudryk

According to the report from Football Transfers, Steve Parish is leading an ambitious play from Palace to try and sign £62m winger Mykhaylo Mudryk.

Mudryk has struggled since making the move to England but is still seen as a young player with potential at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are open to loaning Mudryk out as they seek to get him regular game time and develop and investment they remain confident in.

Palace, meanwhile, are believe to view Mudryk as a replacement for Michael Olise, who left to join Bayern Munich in a big money move in the summer.

Lauded as an ‘unbelievable‘ talent, Mudryk was highly-courted by Arsenal and others before moving to Chelsea.

Furthermore, Roberto De Zerbi also backed Mudryk to be a Ballon d’Or winner, such is his raw talent.

Mudryk has electric pace and broke Premier League speed record on his debut

Any player in the Premier League these days is either super athletic or super quick. Mudryk, to be fair to him, can fit in both categories.

However, it is his electric speed that really makes him standout.

Indeed, on his Premier League debut at Liverpool in 2023, Mudryk broke the Premier League sprint speed record for that season within 35 minutes of coming on the field, clocking a speed of more than 36kmph.

Mudryk, then, needs to hone his skills and learn how to use his pace alongside his obvious natural talent.

A move to Palace could be just what’s needed.
