Report: Premier League club now preparing offer to sign 'fantastic' £30m Arsenal player on loan
This could be a good move ????
Arsenal are set for a hectic final few days of the summer transfer window having this week confirmed the signing of Mikel Merino.
Eddie Nketiah’s move to Crystal Palace is due to be announced with Reiss Nelson also linked with a move away from Arsenal, with some potential surprises likely to be in store for the Gunners heading into Friday’s deadline.
With Nico Williams also reemerging as a target for Arsenal, some activity is expected from Mikel Arteta’s side as the Basque coach looks to complete his squad ahead of another Premier League title challenge.
And a Premier League club are now preparing a loan offer for one Arsenal star.
Southampton to make improved loan offer for Aaron Ramsdale
According to the Guardian, Southampton are ready to make a second loan offer to sign Aaron Ramsdale having missed out on Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow, with the Saints already having one approach for the Arsenal star rejected.
Hailed by Steve Bruce as ‘fantastic’, the 26-year-old goalkeeper’s future has been a big talking point in recent days, with Wolves recently dropping their interest in signing Ramsdale as Ajax remain in the hunt for the England international.
With Ramsdale too good to be sat on the bench for another season, a loan move to a club like Southampton could be worth it for the former Sheffield United star, who will want to prove to Premier League fans he’s still one of the best keepers in the division.
And with the Saints now making a new offer for Ramsdale, there’s a real chance that the Arsenal keeper could be heading to St. Mary’s for the season, a move which could work out well for all parties.
Ramsdale could be key in keeping Southampton away from relegation
Southampton have been tipped by a number of fans and pundits as one of the three teams to go down this season, yet Ramsdale could change all of that for Russell Martin’s side.
The England international is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and played a key role in getting Arsenal to where they are today with two incredible seasons between the sticks for the Gunners.
And if Ramsdale ends up joining Southampton, the Saints will have a real boost in their bid for Premier League survival, with the 26-year-old a player who could save the newly-promoted side multiple points.
