‘Has to move’: David Ornstein says £50m Arsenal target has to leave his club by Friday

The transfer window is about to slam shut, and there are a few players who are scrambling to find a move.

Indeed, the likes of Ivan Toney and Federico Chiesa need to find new clubs before Friday, while Victor Osimhen’s future is still up in the air.

The Nigerian has been keen to leave Napoli for a little while now, and with Romelu Lukaku set to join Antonio Conte’s side, Osimhen needs a move.

Speaking on The Athletic FC Podcast, David Ornstein has been discussing Osimhen’s future, and he says that by the sounds of it, the £50m man needs to leave Napoli this week.

Of course, this comes after Arsenal were linked with a move for Osimhen.

Victor Osimhen has to leave this week

Ornstein shared what he knows about the striker.

“Victor Osimhen is one to watch right up until the deadline. It would be remarkable to see him leave on loan, his stock has fallen a bit, options and obligations, could a permanent deal happen? Or does it not happen at all? He has to move by the sounds of it. PSG have been interested, but I don’t know if they will pursue it any further,” Ornstein said.

Victor Osimhen could be set for dramatic move

Victor Osimhen could be set for a seriously dramatic move before deadline day.

Every year you get these big stories cropping up towards the end of a transfer window, and this year, the Osimhen saga could come to a head.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Al-Ahli are all in for Osimhen, while PSG have also had a look thi summer.

There could be numerous teams in the mix in the race to sign Osimhen in the final days of this transfer window, and, as Ornstein says, he needs to leave before the deadline.

This situation could develop very quickly in the coming days.
