Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Liverpool future is up in the air.
The Reds are hoping for a fine debut season for Arne Slot, and they have had a fantastic start to the campaign. They picked up a win over Ipswich Town on the opening day and did the same against Brentford a week later.
Alexander-Arnold was absolutely brilliant in both of those games, but all the talk surrounding him has been about his future.
The Englishman has entered the final year of his contract, and CaughtOffside have now revealed that talks over a renewal are at a ‘standstill’.
Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold has started looking for transfer opportunities
Liverpool have a huge problem on their hands, and they only have themselves to blame.
Alexander-Arnold is one of their best players and is viewed by many as a future captain of the club. He has been amazing for them for many years and isn’t even in his prime yet.
No Liverpool fan wants to see Alexander-Arnold leave, but the England international has the option to walk away on a free transfer in less than 12 months’ time.
Liverpool are keen to keep hold of the right-back, and the report claims that Alexander-Arnold wants to stay at the club as well.
However, talks over a renewal are reportedly at a ‘standstill’ now, and that has led to some concerning news for Liverpool fans.
It has been claimed that Alexander-Arnold ‘is starting to look around and is considering the interesting opportunities that will be opening up for him’ in the coming months.
Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have been named as potential options for the Liverpool man.

Liverpool have to make one key decision soon
Alexander-Arnold is almost certain to stay at Liverpool this summer – there’s very little chance of that changing in the next few days.
However, once the window is shut, Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards have to do everything they possibly can to keep their vice-captain at the club.
The report claims that Alexander-Arnold wants to stay at Liverpool, which is excellent news, but it’s now up to FSG to sort out his contract.
If Liverpool cannot come to an agreement with the player over a new deal, they will have to make the brave decision of selling him in the winter window. If they don’t, they will lose him for absolutely nothing in July next year.
Along with Real Madrid, Barcelona are also really big fans of Alexander-Arnold.
