Sam Allardyce shares what he's been told about new Everton stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock

Sam Allardyce says Farhad Moshiri’s Everton legacy will be Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium and claimed the revenue from the venue will be huge.

Former Toffees boss Allardyce appeared on David Seaman’s podcast [12 November, 41:47], Seaman Says, and said he has heard the stadium turnover alone will net Everton up to £75million per year.

Moshiri is currently in the process of completing the sale of his 94.1 percent controlling stake in the club to The Friedkin Group (TFG).

Allardyce said: “[Moshiri’s] legacy is the new stadium that Everton fans must be really proud of, and that is the saving grace of Everton Football Club.

“And probably for him to recoup some of his money because the amount of revenue that’s predicted that it will turnover is – I am being told and I don’t know whether this is actually true – in the region of £70-75million a year just in stadium revenue.”

Everton set for rosier financial future at Bramley-Moore Dock

Everton have been put through the mill in recent years and supporters are crying out for stability. There is cautious optimism that finally they may be about to have it.

Until that is achieved, the club are treading water to maintain their long-term status in the Premier League, but progress is being made as the deal for TFG is thrashed out in the background.

Bramley-Moore Dock will create a new era for the Toffees which will, in time, enable them to keep up financially with what are presently far superior financial competitors.

If the amount named in the projected annual revenue is to transpire, Everton will be transformed over the coming years once everything has been settled.

This can grow even further when potentially lucrative factors such as naming rights come into play.

And that will at least be something with which to owe some thanks to Moshiri, despite all the gripes down the years.

In other Everton news, a controversial former Tottenham figure has been identified to potentially join the club’s board.
