Serie A giants Juventus to challenge Chelsea for Super Eagles star with 12 G/A in 2024

Victor Osimhen’s future continues to dominate headlines, and the latest development has introduced Juventus as a serious contender for the Nigerian striker’s signature, Soccernet.ng reports.

Currently on loan at Galatasaray, where he has made an instant impact in Turkish football, Osimhen is attracting significant interest from European giants.

Chelsea, once the frontrunner, now faces stiff competition from Juventus, who are eyeing a 2025 summer move for the Super Eagles star.

Osimhen’s impressive performances in Turkey have not gone unnoticed, and his loan spell at Galatasaray has only amplified his value.

After helping Galatasaray to win both of the games he has featured in, Osimhen now boasts nine goals and three assists in 2024 alone.

Despite earlier links to Chelsea, the high transfer fee demanded by Napoli, Osimhen’s parent club, caused the Premier League side to hold off on a deal.

Now, with Juventus entering the race, Chelsea’s plans to secure the striker next summer could be in jeopardy.

Reports from Italian media outlet Rai as per Fanatik suggest that Juventus are eager to bolster their attack, especially after a series of injuries and poor form from key forwards like Dusan Vlahovic.

The Serie A club is reportedly considering both Jonathan David of Lille and Osimhen to strengthen their offensive options.

Osimhen manager’s strong relationship with Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is seen as a key factor that could sway the deal in the Turin club’s favour.

Juventus will need to meet the €75 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract to have any chance of landing him.

With Arsenal also rumoured to be interested, the race for Osimhen’s signature could heat up, again next year setting the stage for an intense battle between Europe’s top clubs.
