'Set to be confirmed': Fabrizio Romano has shared big West Ham transfer update this evening

West Ham United have been especially busy on the transfer front this summer, with six new signings over the line.

The Hammers hit the ground running early on in the window with the signings of Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman.

West Ham then doubled their tally as they bought Crysencio Summerville and Niclas Fullkrug, as well as signing Guido Rodriguez on a free.

Now, the Hammers are on the verge of their seventh summer signing, with Fabrizio Romano claiming a “complete” player has just completed his club medical.

Jean-Clair Todibo completes West Ham medical

The player in question is Jean-Clair Todibo, who is now on the verge of completing his move to West Ham.

On Thursday night, Romano exclusively revealed that West Ham were on course to sign the Frenchman, who originally looked set to join Juventus.

Then, early on Friday morning, the transfer insider declared “here we go” on Todibo to West Ham, as they successfully hijacked the deal.

Now, Romano has claimed that the 24-year-old has completed his Hammers medical, and the signing is “set to be confirmed” imminently.

Credit to West Ham for refusing to give up on Todibo.

For a while, it looked like the chances of him joining the Hammers were effectively zero amid all the reports saying he wanted Juventus and vice-versa.

However, Juve simply couldn’t make the breakthrough with Nice, and West Ham have an ace up their sleeve in Tim Steidten, who has now got the deal over the line.

The Hammers can now look forward to a “complete package” of a defender being in their squad.

Seven down, one to go. Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka remains linked with West Ham, so this will be one to watch over the coming weeks, perhaps even days.
