Spotted: Footage shows what Richarlison did to Everton fans after Spurs win

Richarlison was spotted interacting with Everton supporters after the Toffees were beaten 4-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday (24 August).

Sean Dyche’s side endured a miserable afternoon in North London. However, not all Everton supporters left empty-handed.

As per The Spurs Web on X (24 August), footage has emerged of Spurs striker Richarlison applauding his former fans after the final whistle at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Brazillian could then be seen handing his shirt to one fortunate supporter who stayed behind after the match.

Richarlison shows respect to Everton supporters after defeat against Tottenham

Richarlison was always a popular figure among supporters at Goodison Park. As a result, plenty of Evertonians would have no doubt been hurt when he decided to leave the club and join Spurs.

However, it is clear to see that there is still a lot of respect between the player and his former fans.

Richarlison scored twice for Tottenham against Everton at Goodison Park last season, with the striker’s celebration muted for both goals.

And this was yet another example that Everton fans will always hold a special place in the 27-year-old’s heart.

It is not often that you see a player interact so heavily with their former supporters after a match against their old club. However, Richarlison went as far as to hand one of those fans his shirt.

While this is by all means a classy gesture, it won’t change the feelings of those Everton fans heading home after yet another painful defeat which has left Dyche with plenty of thinking to do.
