'Starting to worry': Roy Keane is now becoming increasingly concerned about one thing Arsenal keep doing

Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw by Liverpool this afternoon.

The Gunners led the clash on two occasions but were pegged back by Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.

Arsenal now reside five points adrift of the league leaders Manchester City – who are starting to pull clear of their title rivals.

Mikel Arteta’s men have already dropped nine points this season and something needs to change if they’re to finally end their title drought.

That said, Roy Keane has spotted one thing that could be costing Arsenal at the moment.

Roy Keane worried about Arsenal’s mentality

Speaking on Sky Sports post-match, former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane voiced his worry at Arsenal’s mentality.

“All the brilliant players effect games, and that’s what Saka does. You can see that with his finish,” Keane said.

“What came across in his interview was, he’s disappointed, but I’m starting to worry about Arsenal’s mentality now.

“When they get themselves in front, they sit back, instead of going after the third goal. Liverpool were there for the taking if they wanted it.”

Arsenal certainly didn’t have the same desire to score once they led, so perhaps Arteta is instructing his players to be too negative.

Rather than trying to put games to bed, his side often revert to a more pragmatic approach – which evidently isn’t working.

Arsenal are now entering must-win territory

Arsenal are now two games without a win and are already entering must-win territory as Man City begin to pull clear at the summit.

We’ve seen in years gone by that City are capable of putting together long winning streaks, so Arteta’s men can’t afford to let them gain any more ground.

They’re next in Premier League action on Saturday, as they travel to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle United.
