Her performance across the season also saw her play in eleven UEFA Women’s Champions League matches, netting a goal and proving to be a key asset in midfield.
Ucheibe’s outstanding form continued into the new season, as she was voted the best player in the Algarve Women’s Trophy in August.
She played a pivotal role in securing Benfica’s victories at the Algarve Stadium, including their thrilling 4-3 win over Sevilla.
“God is not done with me yet! All glory to God almighty,” Ucheibe said after the win, adding, “Benfica by soul, see you next week for a new episode of Benfica.”
The 23-year-old, originally from Abia, Nigeria, has made 68 appearances for Benfica since joining in 2020, scoring four goals.
Ucheibe’s career has been on a steady rise since she began her professional journey with Nasarawa Amazons in 2018. She has also represented Nigeria at U-17 and U-20 levels, and since 2022, she has earned 61 caps for the Super Falcons, scoring once.
