'That can happen' - Doctor reacts as Everton submit another bid to sign international defender

Everton target and former Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez needs to undergo a methodical plan to overcome his injury issues, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that if he is to move to the Premier League this summer after previously struggling at Spurs, it is going to take some doing.

This comes after Turkish outlet Ajansspor reported on 13 July that the Toffees made a £16.8million bid for the 28-year-old after seeing a lower bid rejected.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Sanchez:

He has struggled in the past with his fitness in the Premier League and last season too, his injury record was not ideal.

He had hamstring and toe injuries and even struggled with his fitness.

It looks like he got caught into an injury cycle last season but that can happen, especially when the injury occurs mid-season.

The key for him will be starting or continuing with a methodical fitness plan to get out of the cycle.

Everton must not take a gamble on Davinson Sanchez

The Toffees must avoid signing Sanchez due to his inconsistent performances and questionable decision-making on the field.

His time at Tottenham was marred by errors and a lack of confidence, leading to criticism from fans and pundits alike.

The Colombia international’s inability to adapt to the Premier League’s intensity and his struggles with the pace and physicality of the game raise doubts about his suitability for Everton.

Everton
Everton manager Sean Dyche

Sean Dyche needs reliable and composed defenders to improve their defensive record and the 28-year-old’s injury history suggests he may not be the answer

In other Everton news, the Toffees have agreed a multi-million fee in principle to seal yet another transfer this summer.
