Rangers chairman John Bennett has been slammed by Tom English for investing £20million into the Ibrox club.

The BBC journalist was responding to a Gers fan who criticised Bennett for not getting Graeme Souness on the club’s board.

This happened in the aftermath of the 3-0 defeat against Celtic in the Old Firm derby on 1 September.

English wrote on X: “A fool? He’s invested over £20m in Rangers. Maybe that is foolish now that I think of it.”
