Ian Darke says Iliman Ndiaye is the player Everton can utilise for a “new dimension” to secure their Premier League status.

Ndiaye was brought in from Marseille for around £15million [Sky Sports] and has offered a positive early impression at Goodison Park.

TNT Sports commentator Darke spoke exclusively to Goodison News about the improvements Sean Dyche’s side has shown since their dreadful start to the season.

“They’ve improved, without a doubt. They were very poor, and had that ridiculous game against Bournemouth when they threw it away,” he said.

“You’d have to say it was to a lesser extent against Aston Villa because they were beaten by a team with real quality and who won it through a fantastic goal by Jhon Duran.

“I think there’s a more solid look about them, and going forward, Iliman Ndiaye in particular gives them another dimension that wasn’t there last season.”

Iliman Ndiaye is new dimension at Goodison Park

If Everton were to christen Bramley-Moore Dock with Championship football, it would be nothing short of diabolical.

In Dyche, they have a man who has been there and done it, not just with the Toffees but at Burnley too, and after a horrendous start, they now look to be emerging from the other side – both on and off the pitch.

The hope is that Dan Friedkin’s takeover deal can be completed as soon as possible and transfer activity can take place in January to help seal Everton’s Premier League spot for good.

The likes of Ndiaye are a real boost – he has shown his ability of late not just in the top flight but also for his national side Senegal.

To dispense with Neal Maupay to Marseille and take Ndiaye off them in separate deals is certainly a positive piece of business, and the Blues will look to gradually forget the opening to the campaign.
