View: Ange could already have next Tottenham sensation after what 15y/o did y’day

Ange Postecoglou seems to have a conveyor belt of young talent at Tottenham.

It has been quite some time since Harry Kane rose through the ranks at Spurs and announced himself on the scene in North London.

Since his debut, not a single player from Spurs’ academy has been able to replicate even a quarter of what Kane produced at the club.

The likes of Harry Winks, Oliver Skipp and even Japhet Tanganga have perhaps all come closest. However, they would all be moved on before they could really establish themselves at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

As a result, Spurs fans will be desperate to see someone rise through the academy and become ‘One of their own’.

And luckily for those supporters, it seems as though the club currently have quite a few candidates to do just that as the young talent just keeps emerging from Hotspur Way.

Mikey Moore is the obvious choice, with the young forward establishing himself as a first-team player this season before having even celebrated his 18th birthday.

However, there are several players below him making noise at academy level, which can only be exciting for Postecoglou and Tottenham.

Ollie Salter to follow in Mikey Moore’s footsteps at Tottenham?

Moore hasn’t even had a chance to become a name himself yet. However, that won’t have stopped Spurs from thinking about who the next Moore might be already.

Lucá Williams-Barnett has been making quite the impression this season in his first full year with the Under-18s, despite still being just 16 himself.

And it looks as though there could already be a player below him ready to burst onto the scene.

As per Lilywhite Rose via X (1 November), Spurs’ Under-18s beat Luton Town’s Under-18s 2-1 in a friendly on Friday (1 November).

Under-16 players Ezra Agyekum, Ollie Salter and Armend Muslika were all handed the opportunity to play at Under-18 level for the first time in that match.

And Salter will no doubt be looking to continue his progression. The 15-year-old is a Wales youth international who has already scored for his country.

A left-winger, the young forward will no doubt be keen to push on and begin featuring for the Under-18s after seeing what Williams-Barnett has done this season, and Moore as well.

The 17-year-old is living proof that if you’re good enough, Postecoglou will fast-track you to the first team.

While Moore might be quite an exception, Salter will no doubt take confidence from this and having already featured for the club’s Under-18s, there is no reason why he can’t keep pushing on.
