Ange Postecoglou could soon hand Callum Olusesi first-team minutes at Tottenham.

Postecoglou has several exciting young talents at his disposal in North London.

Under-21 stars such as Will Lankshear and Mikey Moore have burst onto the scene over the past year and could soon feature frequently in the first-team.

Meanwhile, recent recruits Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray, both 18, are already a firm fixture of the first-team squad.

And Postecoglou already has another young, exciting talent to keep an eye on in the form of Under-21 midfielder Olusesi.

The 17-year-old was a key part of the Under-18s squad last season and has now been promoted to the Under-21s, recently grabbing his first goal at that level as Wayne Burnett’s side lost 2-1 to the Southampton Under-21s on Friday (30 August).

Ange Postecoglou to hand Callum Olusesi first-team debut at Tottenham?

Olusesi shone at Under-18 level, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in 21 Under-18 Premier League appearances.

As a result, the midfielder has been promoted to the Under-21s this season, starting and playing every minute of all three Premier League 2 matches so far this season.

And he was impressive against Southampton, despite his side losing the match 2-1. As per the Tottenham Hotspur official website (30 August), Olusesi was “dominant” against the Saints, grabbing an equaliser for his side.

Should he continue to put in performances of that level, Postecoglou could soon consider handing Olusesi first-team minutes, especially with the UEFA Europa League to come this month.

With Qarabag FK to come at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday (26 September), Olusesi could find himself on the bench if he continues working hard.
