View: Ange let Tottenham youth sensation down with decision in 3-0 win v Qarabag last night

Ange Postecoglou let Mikey Moore down after giving him just six minutes of game time for Tottenham against Qarabag.

Spurs faced the Azerbaijan Premier League champions in North London on Thursday 26 September and came away with a 3-0 win.

This was done despite Radu Dragusin being sent off after just eight minutes when he dragged down Juninho after a mistake.

The home side were 3-0 up after 68 minutes but Postecoglou was still reluctant to give young players any minutes with Moore brought on in the 84th minute.

Even with Spurs being down to ten men, they made it look easy at times against the Azerbaijani side, despite the away side arguably having the better chances.

With that being said, the likes of Will Lankshear and Moore could have been afforded more game time than they did.

The latter has been handed just two minutes of Premier League action so far this season [FotMob], which really isn’t enough for a player with such a high ceiling.

In preseason, the 17-year-old featured regularly and made the most of his time on the pitch with a goal against Hearts and an assist away to QPR.

It makes even less sense that the winger has been utilised in very limited showings given that he was offered a record-breaking contract earlier in the summer [6 August, Jack Pitt-Brooke].

Postecoglou has to start handing Moore some minutes, especially in games like the Qarabag one where Spurs won easily in the end.
