Leo Black is another young player who Ange Postecoglou should be considering handing a Tottenham first-team debut too.

Postecoglou has several exciting young players to keep an eye on in North London.

While the likes of Will Lankshear and Mikey Moore are slowly becoming household names at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, there are also some lesser-known youth players who deserve a bit of recognition.

One of those players is Callum Olusesi, who recently scored his first goal for Spurs’ Under-21s.

Olusesi was a key part of Spurs’ Under-18s last season and has been promoted to the Under-21s this year, just like 18-year-old Black, who recently achieved a milestone of his own at international level.

While making his debut for England’s Under-19s on Wednesday (4 September), Black scored a late equaliser to secure a 2-2 draw for the Young Lions against Italy’s Under-19s.

And after this recent feat, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the youngster was on Postecoglou’s radar.

Ange Postecoglou to hand Leo Black a first-team debut at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?

Black made 24 Under-18 Premier League appearances last season, scoring five goals and providing seven assists primarily from right-back.

As a result of his bright form, the England youth international has played twice for Spurs’ Under-21s in Premier League 2 this season, featuring as a left-winger on both occasions.

That versatility could appeal to Postecoglou, with the Australian perhaps tempted to hand Black his first-team debut at some point this season after his recent progress.

A goal for England wouldn’t have harmed his cause, and with the number of fixtures Spurs have to come this season, Postecoglou could be considering handing some youth players minutes at first-team level.

If that is to happen, Black should certainly be one of the first players in line for that opportunity.

In other Tottenham news, concern has emerged for one player at the club after a recent announcement.
