Dan Friedkin could use his Roma connections to make his first signing at Everton amid links with midfielder Edoardo Bove.

The Friedkin Group – current owners of Roma – are in talks to complete a takeover at Goodison Park.

As reported by iNews (18 June), the Americans could be handed exclusivity rights “imminently” by Farhad Moshiri.

This would of course be a massive boost for the Toffees who find themselves in plenty of financial turmoil after Moshiri’s disastrous reign at Goodison Park.

And Friedkin being the owner of Serie A side Roma could provide a few benefits if he is to complete a takeover.

His connections with the Italian club could aid the Toffees if they are ever to have any interest in one of Roma’s players.

And it appears as if there are already a couple on the Premier League club’s radar.

One of the players who the Toffees are interested in signing is striker Tammy Abraham.

As reported by Corriere Della Sera (17 June), Sean Dyche’s side are one of several Premier League clubs interested in the 26-year-old.

Tottenham, West Ham and Aston Villa are all also credited with an interest, with Abraham open to returning to England’s top flight.

With so many sides monitoring the forward, Friedkin’s links could therefore help the Toffees win the race for Abraham’s signature.

In addition, as reported by Sky Sports Italy via Calcio Mercato (18 June), the club have also been linked to £15million-rated Bove, who looks ready-made to be the first signing of this new era.

Everton Farhad Moshiri
Farhad Moshiri’s reign at Everton finally looks to be coming to an end.

The midfielder has showed his quality, which earned praise from Jose Mourinho, and has the ability to adapt to Premier League football.

For now, it appears the priority remains player sales and sorting out a takeover at Goodison Park.

But once that takeover is complete, doors could start to open for Everton incomings, with Bove potentially front of the list.

And if Freidkin owns both the Toffees and Roma, that would certainly speed up any negotiations between the two clubs.

In other Everton news, Manchester United are to submit a player-plus-cash offer for Jarrad Branthwaite.
