Everton could be handed a transfer boost for Tammy Abraham with the news that Roma owner Dan Friedkin could take over from Farhad Moshiri.

This boost comes after Il Messaggero reported (16 June) that the Toffees look set to form a project similar to Red Bull with the Giallorossi.

The relationship between Salzburg and Leipzig has seen many players move between the two and now the Toffees could do similar with Roma.

Talks have been opened over a move to Goodison Park for Abraham [Daily Mail], who could move for a fee in the region of £20million this summer.

With Aston Villa, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur also interested, this could give Sean Dyche’s side an advantage in their pursuit.

There have been rumours suggesting that Dominic Calvert-Lewin could leave Goodison Park this summer, with Newcastle interested [The Athletic].

If that deal was to go through, Dyche would certainly need a new striker to be his main man ahead of the new campaign.

Beto is already at the club but after a slow first season, it is unlikely that he will be trusted to lead the front-line as Everton’s main number nine.

Abraham has great experience of the Premier League and European football which could make him a useful asset for the Toffees.

He would certainly suit the set-up at Goodison with him being a tall presence but also positive with the ball at his feet when needed.

With a bridge ready to be built with Roma, a move for the 26-year-old could be the perfect start to that relationship.

It is unclear whether or not Everton will have to part with a player in return but either way, it could be a positive piece of business.
