Everton fans will be furious with the Premier League as John Brooks is confirmed as the referee for the clash against Fulham.

Brooks is the latest Premier League referee embroiled in controversy over the weekend, as he was involved in several contentious decisions in the match between Liverpool and Chelsea.

The Blues have endured their fair share of refereeing controversies this season, Dan Burn admitted referee Craig Pawson could have awarded the spot-kick for his challenge on Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the 0-0 draw against Newcastle United.

Sean Dyche lost a valuable three points on the day and the supporters will pray Brooks learns from his errors at Anfield as the Premier League assigns him to officiate on Saturday at Goodison Park.

Everton cannot allow the officials to decide the result against Fulham

Brooks was in the limelight at Anfield as he opted against sending off Tosin Adarabioyo for a foul on Diogo Jota, similar to the foul that saw William Saliba sent off for Arsenal against Bournemouth and denying Liverpool a stonewall penalty.

Everton and the Premier League already have a strained relationship after the events of last season, while an agenda against the club is not at the forefront of thinking at the club, the players must do everything to ensure the result is not decided on the weekend by an officiating decision.

The Everton faithful will not be afraid to make their feelings known towards the referee if he produces a similar cataclysmic performance at Goodison Park with the side finally back on track in the Premier League.

Dyche has united his struggling side and produced a four-match unbeaten run in the Premier League with players such as Michael Keane proving their worth with his goal in the 2-0 win against Ipswich Town.

Everton are finally in a good place after a chaotic start this season, while the refereeing appointment is far from ideal the side should take their momentum to Goodison Park and produce a stellar performance against Fulham.

In other Everton news, Neal Maupay has gone out of his way to burn all bridges with the Toffees.
