Wenham wowed by Tottenham 'progress' after official player exit announcement

John Wenham is delighted with the outgoing transfer business at Tottenham thus far this summer.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose claims progress has been made when it comes to moving on unwanted players in North London.

Troy Parrott became the latest fringe player to leave the club as Tottenham announced via their official website (13 July) that the striker had signed for Dutch Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar.

However, Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has insisted there is still work to be done.

“From Spurs’ point of view that is yet another player out the door who was not in Ange Postecoglou’s plans,” Wenham said.

“I have been really pleased so far with the outgoings. I know some people want more, but it is important to look at the bigger picture.

“We’ve now moved on several players permanently who we have struggled to find clubs for in recent seasons.

“We still need to get a couple of players out the door, but massive progress is being made.”

It has been a quiet summer so far in terms of signing players. However, when it comes to clearing the books, Spurs have been incredibly active.

The likes of Tanguy Ndombele, Ryan Sessegnon, Japhet Tanganga and Joe Rodon have all been moved on by the club.

Parrott became the latest player to join that list as Postecoglou continues to build a Tottenham team in his image.
