West Ham fans left baffled with who Sky Sports picked as Man of the Match after 1-1 draw against Bournemouth
"That's the worst Man of the Match pick I've ever seen." ????????????
West Ham United drew 1-1 against AFC Bournemouth in their latest outing at the Vitality Stadium.
It seemed like Lucas Paqueta’s 87th-minute goal from the penalty spot was struck at the perfect time to hand West Ham a late victory. However, Enes Unal had other plans, saving Bournemouth’s blushes with a stunning free-kick in the 90th minute.
Julen Lopetegui would have been exasperated as his Hammers side have won just three out of their last 10 league games now.

Following David Moyes’ departure in the summer, the Irons are languishing in 14th place in a season that is going from bad to worse.
One positive for the visitors was that Lukasz Fabianski put in a tremendous display against Andoni Iraola’s side.
West Ham fans fume at Lukasz Fabianski Man of the Match snub against Bournemouth
After their side shared the spoils with Bournemouth, West Ham supporters were angered by the fact that Fabianski was not named the Man of the Match, with Sky Sports commentator opting for Unal instead.
One Hammers fan criticised Smith’s selection, considering how incredible the Polish goalkeeper was.
According to Sofascore, the former Arsenal shotstopper made an impressive eight saves while his goals prevented accumulated to 1.07.
Another West Ham fan praised Unal’s free-kick but laughed at how Fabianski was not given the Man of the Match award.
“Fantastic free kick. But how Fabianski hasnt got MOTM there is ridiculous.”
After all, the former Manchester City striker only came off the bench and while he his free-kick was a thing of beauty, Fabianski was remarkable from start to finish.
A West Ham fan claimed that Alan Smith was swayed by Unal’s wonder-goal, which is why he snubbed their number one.
“Alan Smith clearly easily pleased because Fabianski should have been given player of the match.”
Another West Ham fan asked how Sky Sports made such a decision when the Irons shotstopper made eight saves.
“How’s Alan Smith given that man of the match to geezer that was on the pitch 10 minutes and took 1 freekick… Fabianski literally made eight saves.”
A fifth West Ham fan replied: “Pathetic, that. Fabianski or [Ilia] Zabarniy for them.”
Lastly, a sixth Hammers fan felt picking Fabianski was a no-brainer for Sky Sports, considering he often kept them in the game.
“Unal voted Player Of The Match by Sky just absolutely sums it up. Fabianski should’ve had that by a country miles.”
Fabianski showed against Bournemouth that age is just a number
Despite being on the verge of being 40 years old, Fabianski was springing all over the pitch, making save after save.
From Fabianski’s point-blank stop to deny Dango Ouattara to his diving effort to keep Ryan Christie’s rasping strike out signalled that he still has plenty of life him in as a Premier League goalkeeper.
The ex-Legia Warsaw star’s display was a reminder that age is just a number.
West Ham will certainly be relying on Fabianski to continue delivering like he did against Bournemouth and it seems like he is up for the challenge.
