West Ham United have been especially busy on the transfer front this summer, with six new signings over the line.
The Hammers hit the ground running early on in the window with the signings of Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman.
West Ham then doubled their tally as they bought Crysencio Summerville and Niclas Fullkrug, as well as signing Guido Rodriguez on a free.
The Hammers are said to be in discussions with other players, including Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
And now, West Ham could potentially be on the verge of hijacking a deal that previously looked like it had run its course.
Fabrizio Romano has taken to X on Thursday night with this significant update on the Hammers transfer front.

West Ham set to hijack Jean-Clair Todibo move
Romano says West Ham director Tim Steidten is now on the way to Nice to get the signing of Jean-Clair Todibo over the line.
Juventus have been in talks with Nice for weeks, but to no avail, and now the Hammers appear to be on course to hijack the move.
The transfer insider says West Ham have agreed a deal with nice for around £34million plus a sell-on clause.
Indeed, Romano has also claimed that West Ham are trying to book a medical for the defender on Friday.
The Italian followed up his exclusive post with a second one which goes in more detail.
Romano said the agreement would see Todibo join West Ham on an initial loan with obligation to buy.
The player is currently reviewing the Hammers’ contract proposal, with Steidten in Nice right now.
Romano then reiterated West Ham’s desire to get the deal over the line as soon as possible.
TBR Football sources revealed earlier this week that Juve are still some way off getting near £33million and Nice made it clear they won’t accept less.
Although Todibo was adamant about only wanting to join the Serie A side, Nice informed him that they will not sanction his sale unless they match those terms.
That has left the door open for the Hammers to potentially hijack a deal, and it looks as though they’ve followed through.
West Ham cooking this summer
West Ham finished the season with a solid enough squad, but after two months of the transfer window being open, they’ve strengthened it considerably.
And should the Hammers manage to get a deal for Todibo over the line, that would make them a powerhouse at the back.
Todibo, who stands at 6ft 3in, made 33 appearances for Nice as they finished fifth in Ligue 1 last season.
In 2023, Jacek Kulig of Football Talent Scout deemed the 24-year-old “the complete package” and “one of the most underrated CBs in Europe at the moment”.
With Kurt Zouma seemingly on the way out of West Ham, Todibo would be a more than apt replacement.
