Rangers may not be convinced to sign Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri permanently this summer, according to David Edgar.

The Heart and Hand host was asked on X on 31 July about the 21-year-old potentially moving to Ibrox this month.

Four Lads Had a Dream mooted a loan move for the Tunisia international and a transfer may not be on the cards for Gers.

Edgar wrote: “I’m not sure where that one is – not convinced Rangers would be interested if it was a straight sale.”

His loan spells at Birmingham City and Sevilla have been mixed, with the latter being particularly disappointing.

Gers cannot afford to make a costly mistake in the transfer market, especially given their need to strengthen other areas of the squad.
