'Absolutely crazy' - Henry Winter: Everton fans will be gutted as news emerges in last 24 hours

Henry Winter believes that Everton and Nottingham Forest fans will be gutted at the recent Manchester City news.

According to the Times on 4 June the Citizens have launched a legal assault on the Premier League with the champions challenging a host of things.

This comes after the league found the Toffees and Forest guilty of financial breaches which led to point deductions.

Henry, the former chief football writer at the Times told Sky Sports’ YouTube channel at 13:28 on 5 June: “The fans of Forest and Everton, absolutely (will be gutted). They will see a complete inconsistency of this. All these legal issues and point deductions and everything, have to be decided in the season they’re related to. It’s absolutely crazy that the 115 charges which City have denied have run on and run on and run on.”

The Toffees have a legitimate reason to feel aggrieved due to the apparent inconsistency in the handling of financial breaches by the Premier League.
