Attacker in crunch club talks as Rangers want transfer now - report

Yusuf Kabadayi is currently in talks with Bayern Munich bosses over his future amid interest from Rangers, according to Der Westen.

The German outlet reported [17 June] that the 20-year-old has three options, and it is understood that his future at the Allianz Arena will become much clearer in the coming weeks.

It is understood that Kabadayi could either be sold, be loaned out with an option to buy or put pen to paper on a new contract extension with a subsequent loan.

This would suggest that the German winger is not in Bayern’s plans ahead of the 2024/25 season, which could help the Gers strike a deal this summer.

The Gers will certainly see this update as a positive, with all three options suggesting that Kabadayi’s future lies elsewhere than the Bundesliga next season.

The youngster has yet to make his debut for the German giants, having been sent out on loan to Schalke in the last campaign, where he made 24 appearances, scoring four goals in total.

With Schalke still competing in Bundesliga 2, it would be a huge step up to go right into the Bayern first team, so it is understandable to see him linked with another loan move.

Given his adaptability on the pitch, being able to play on either flank or as a centre-forward, Philippe Clement could be eager to give Kabadayi a chance at Ibrox next season.

Rangers Philippe Clement
Philippe Clement will be keen for Rangers to continue spending this summer.

Although Oscar Cortes has now been re-signed for the left-wing position, the Lens loanee has been sidelined for a few weeks. Rangers may want a backup option in case the worst were to happen.

With 13 goals and four assists for Bayern’s B team, there should be no doubts about the player’s talent and potential. It is just whether Clement can get the best out of him during a loan spell.

In other Rangers news, Todd Cantwell has been tipped to head a transfer clear at Ibrox as six others are linked with an exit.
