Alan Myers moots double new attacker transfer at Everton already

Alan Myers has predicted that Everton will sign two new wingers this summer after the departure of Lewis Dobbin to Aston Villa.

The Sky Sports news editor posted an update on X after the arrivals of Jack Harrison and Tim Iroegbunam were already confirmed.

Several players have been linked with transfers throughout the summer so far, with Marseille attacker Iliman Ndiaye looking set to join up next with a fee and contract agreed [Fabrizio Romano].

Bringing Harrison back to Goodison Park for next season ticks off an early piece of smart business for Sean Dyche’s side, particularly given how integral the Leeds loanee was at times last season.

The 27-year-old’s four goals and three assists in 35 overall appearances suggest he could be one of the first names on the team sheet, but he’s still not Everton’s player permanently.

Dwight McNeil remains the club’s only out-and-out attacking wide option under contract, meaning that pursuing further options in this area of the pitch should remain paramount this summer [HITC, 19 June].

Newcastle’s 19-year-old flyer Yankuba Minteh had been heavily linked and was keen on a move, but that transfer now looks to be unlikely after the Magpies pulled out of the running to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin [Fabrizio Romano, 24 June].

Regardless of who comes and who goes, the Toffees look certain to field a brand-new attack next season, but it remains to be seen who will line up on the flanks in the final campaign at Goodison Park.
