Everton likely have plans in place to bring in new players in the January transfer window, according to Alan Myers.
The Sky Sports news editor reported on 10 November that the Toffees will bring in at least two players through the door in the winter.
The Friedkin Group also aim to complete their takeover before the end of 2024 and kickstart a new era at the club.
Via X, Myers wrote: “I think plans are in place but I don’t have names. Too early to say, at least two I would say.”
Everton need to bring in quality through the door
The fact that work has already begun on new signings would suggest that the plans are to keep Sean Dyche at the club post the takeover.
Had the new owners been sure about not wanting him there, discussions would not be taking place about new signings.
It would be the remit of the new manager to come in with his desired targets, but there is unlikely to be that much time.
The Friedkin Group might give Dyche until the end of the season to prove his worth but they need to be sure about signing the right players in January.
This squad still has issues in attack and defence and hopefully, Kevin Thelwell has identified the players Everton plan to sign.
As things stand, the Toffees find themselves in yet another relegation battle so they need to sign the X-Factor players.
In other Everton news, a claim has emerged on the club’s transfer budget after what they did in the summer.
