Alan Myers shares if Everton plan to sign another attacker after Lindstrom

Everton want to sign both Willy Gnonto and Jesper Lindstrom this summer, according to Alan Myers.

The Sky Sports journalist responded to a fan on X (23 July) who asked whether the Lindstrom and Gnonto deals were both going to happen.

This is because there were some fans questioning whether it would be a case of one or the other joining the club following their recent attacking additions.

Gianluca Di Marzio reported (23 July) that Napoli winger Lindstrom will complete his Everton medical on Wednesday (24 july), while TEAMtalk reported Leeds forward Gnonto is moving closer to a switch to Goodison Park.

Jesper Lindstrom and Willy Gnonto both joining is an ideal situation for Everton

Everton has had a long-standing interest in Gnonto with rumours around the Italy international joining the blue half of Merseyside going as far back as last season.

This not only shows that the Toffees clearly see potential in the youngster but also see the attacker as an ideal addition to their ranks.

In the case of Lindstrom, Everton’s interest is fairly fresh [Fabrizio Romano, 12 July] but equally as important for the club.

The pair can both play across the front three and can perhaps offer the team some more pace upfront compared to their current crop of players.

Iliman Ndiaye has also been brought in and whilst the former Sheffield United man can play on either wing or even in the number nine role, he’s far more effective as an attacking midfielder.

Should both the Leeds and Napoli aces arrive at Goodison Park this summer it would be a huge boost to Sean Dyche’s attacking ranks as they look for a more stable Premier League campaign this term.

In other Everton news, the Toffees may have already found their Amadou Onana replacement.
