Antony decides to quit Man United this week - report

Man United winger Antony has reportedly informed the club that he wants to leave on a loan deal for this season.

The Turkish transfer window is open until Friday (13 September), and the Brazil international has been linked with a move to the Super Lig.

According to The Sun, Antony wants to leave, and Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce are in pole position to secure his signature.

Antony’s former club Ajax and teams in Spain, France, and Saudi Arabia are also keeping tabs on his ongoing situation.

Newcastle United have also been linked with a surprise move for Antony, but that wouldn’t be possible until the January transfer window opens.

A permanent deal is unlikely to happen at this stage, and any sale of the 24-year-old would have to take place next summer.

However, the Premier League giants are keen to push through a loan deal to move him out of the club for this season.

Antony is pushing to leave Man United for this season

After initially joining the 20-time champions on a five-year deal that cost the club £85.6million, Antony has struggled to find his footing in the Premier League.

The winger hasn’t settled in at Old Trafford, scoring 11 goals after 83 appearances for United.

He has fallen down the pecking order this season under Erik ten Hag, and has played just one minute of United’s opening three Premier League fixtures.

Antony isn’t the only United player who could end up being shipped out of Old Trafford this week as Casemiro has also been linked to a move to Turkey.

Galatasaray are keeping tabs on the defensive midfielder after his poor performance against Liverpool.
