Arsenal fans have been having their say on whether they would take Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford at the Emirates Stadium.
On Tuesday, Rashford said he was “ready for a new challenge” away from Old Trafford in an interview with journalist Henry Winter.
Rashford has endured a difficult year at Manchester United, with just eight Premier League goals to his name in 2024, and was left out of the squad for the Manchester derby.
The 27-year-old scored 30 goals for Man United in the 2022/23 campaign, but he has not been able to build on that impressive tally.
And amid speculation over his future at Old Trafford, Rashford admitted that he was already thinking about the “next steps” in his career.

Some Arsenal fans want Marcus Rashford but others opposed
Marcus Rashford’s admission over his Man United future prompted a number of Arsenal fans to say they would love the England international at N5.
One fan said: “Marcus Rashford to Arsenal makes so much sense. There has been so many rumours over the last few years that Arteta rates him highly.
“A loan deal with an option to buy for £15million should be an offer Arsenal should propose. Arteta will improve him just like with Havertz.”
Another supporter wrote: “He is very close to the perfect profile for Arsenal. Lightning quick, brave in 1v1 and scores out of nothing. The question is attitude and wages. Big ifs.”
The praise kept coming, with one saying: ‘Rashford would be a very good signing for arsenal… at striker, he could do the job.
‘Can even play on the wings if Arsenal also wants to get a striker as well.
“I hope Arsenal is all over this in January, I think its a very big opportunity, and he knows he will get playtime.”
However, not all Arsenal fans thought Rashford should be a target for the Gunners.
One wrote: “I know we’re starving for attacking talent, but Rashford is NOT what Arsenal need.”
Another put: “No! Love Rashford but not for Arsenal.”
What Rashford said in detail about his Man United future
On Tuesday, Rashford returned to his old primary school, Button Lane in south Manchester, and handed out Christmas presents to all the pupils.
In an interview shared by Winter on his X account, Rashford said: “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.
“When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse.
“I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.”
Rashford added: “It’s disheartening to be left out of a derby but it’s happened, we won the game so let’s move on.
“It’s disappointing but I’m also someone as I’ve got older I can deal with setbacks. What am I going to do about it? Sit there and cry about it. Or do my best the next time I’m available.”
With the January transfer window now on the horizon, Rashford wouldn’t have to wait too long for a move away from Old Trafford.
