Revealed: Man United add 24-yr-old to striker shortlist

Man United have added Juventus star man Dusan Vlahovic to their striker shortlist, sources have told Football Insider.

United are monitoring the 24-year-old’s situation at Juventus with his contract set to end in June 2026.

Talks are ongoing between Vlahovic and the Old Lady but club and player are currently locked in a contract standoff, plunging his long-term future into doubt.

Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (10 December) that Arsenal are also keeping tabs on the forward, having held a long-term interest in the player.

The Serbia international’s uncertain contract situation puts him on the list of desirable strikers in Europe, which includes the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen and Alexander Isak.

Football Insider revealed in October that Amorim’s Man United appointment could give them the edge in the race for Sporting CP star Gyokeres.

Man United identify Vlahovic as potential Gyokeres alternative

Clubs across England and Europe are set to do battle for the Sweden international’s signature and Vlahovic has been identified as an alternative target.

United will pursue a move for a new striker next summer despite signing Netherlands international Joshua Zirkzee in the off-season.

Vlahovic has hit seven goals and notched two assists in 17 appearances across all competitions this term.

Alejandro Garnacho is the top scorer for the Red Devils this term, notching eight goals across all competitions.
