2023/2024 UEFA Europa League winners, Atalanta BC, have already declined Liverpool’s offer for Super Eagles forward, Ademola Olajade Lookman, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 27-year-old forward took his game a gear up this year, leading the Super Eagles to the AFCON 2023 final in Ivory Coast, and Atalanta to the Coppa Italia final where they lost to Juventus.
His best individual performance came in the UEFA Europa League final where he scored a hat-trick against an unbeaten Bayer 04 Leverkusen to win Atalanta’s first-ever silverware on the continent.
Lookman’s brilliance has seen him linked with Europe’s big boys with Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool all interested in the services of the former RB Leipzig man.
As per Football Italia, Liverpool’s enquiry about Lookman has been met with a clear-cut no from Atalanta, with the club immediately making it clear they will be making no sales in the winter transfer window.

Lookman won the 2024 CAF Player of the Year Award, beating the likes of Simon Adingra, Achraf Hakimi, and Sehrou Guirassy to the coveted silverware, and is already on another run to retain the award as he’s scored 11 goals and provided five assists in 19 games for Atalanta across all competitions this season.
His contract with La Dea runs till the summer of 2026, and with a renewal not yet in place, it is looking increasingly likely that the former Everton attacker will move at the end of the season, with a return to England reported to be his preference.
