Callum Hudson-Odoi says Arsenal have a £50m player who’s actually better than David Beckham

Callum Hudson-Odoi has been discussing some of the best wingers in Premier League history.

The Nottingham Forest star was speaking to Mail Sport on TikTok about some of the Premier League greats, and he made an interesting claim about Raheem Sterling.

Indeed, Hudson-Odoi had Sterling down as one of the best wingers in Premier League history, claiming that he’s better than both Alexis Sanchez and David Beckham.

Beckham was, of course, an absolute legend for Manchester United, but Hudson-Odoi believes that Sterling is actually better than the former England captain.

Callum Hudson-Odoi picks Raheem Sterling over David Beckham

The Forest star made some interesting claims about the £50m Arsenal player.

“Alexis Sanchez or Raheem Sterling?” Hudson-Odoi was asked.

Raheem Sterling vs David Beckham

Sterling vs Beckham is a very interesting debate.

This is very much a comparison between two very different types of wingers.

Beckham was a very old-school right-midfielder, he was all about crossing from deep and delivering killer passes.

Meanwhile, Sterling is a part of a new generation of wingers whose main role is to score goals, and he did that brilliantly for Manchester City.

Sterling once netted 20 goals in a Premier League season for Pep Guardiola’s side, and Beckham never got close to that mark for Manchester United.

Beckham, of course, has an edge over Sterling in the fact he’s a Champions League winner, but, let’s not forget that Sterling has won multiple Premier League titles and has scored a hat-trick in an FA Cup final.

This is a debate that will likely split fans of different generations, and because of how the game has evolved, it is hard to compare Sterling and Beckham due to the positions they play.

Regardless of who you consider to be the better player, both men are undoubtedly Premier League greats.
