Leeds United fans have tipped Carlos Corberan to take over at Elland Road if Daniel Farke is sacked following a disappointing start to the season.

Pressure on Farke’s job has ramped up following the 1-0 defeat to Burnley at Elland Road which has seen Leeds win just two of their opening five league games.

Fans have already begun calling for the manager’s head, with only four wins in their last 15 competitive fixtures despite lofty expectations of success.

As a result, many are speculating about who the possible replacements for the boss could be, with West Brom’s Corberan the outstanding candidate.

The Baggies currently sit at the top of the league after taking 13 points from their first five games through four wins and one draw, conceding just twice.

Given the success he has had despite previous restrictions in place at West Brom including financial issues and a depleted squad, the manager’s stock is at an all-time high.

Leeds United fans call for Carlos Corberan to replace Daniel Farke in new sack twist

Corberan spent three years under Marcelo Bielsa as Leeds’ under-23s boss before making the step up to Huddersfield in 2020, before a short spell at Olympiacos saw him find his feet at The Hawthorns.

A ready-made connection with the club would play a big part in winning favour with the entire fanbase – something Farke has struggled to do in recent months.

David Moyes has also previously been put forward as a possible replacement following his departure from West Ham at the end of last season.

However, fans have taken to social media to call for Corberan to take over from Farke as they assessed the possibility of an early change to appoint “the best manager in the league”.
