Chris Jack: Rangers in 'Pole Position' to secure new summer transfer after Nsiala announcement

Rangers are set to make Bayern Munich winger Yusuf Kabadayi their fourth signing of the summer after Clinton Nsiala’s arrival at Ibrox, according to Chris Jack.

The Rangers Review journalist reported on Monday (10 June) that the Light Blues are in “pole position” to land the 20-year-old’s signature having announced the signing of Nsiala on a pre-contract only hours earlier.

Kabadayi will be allowed to leave Munich this summer and Philippe Clement’s side are leading the race as the Belgian looks to continue his summer rebuild at Ibrox ahead of the Champions League qualifiers next season.

Clement had suggested this summer could see a big rebuild at Ibrox and it is clear that the wheels are already in motion for the Belgian to add to his squad further following the arrival of Nsiala in Glasgow.

Strength in depth in the wide areas was always going to be crucial for the Gers this summer and while the decision to re-sign Oscar Cortes was a step in the right direction, it couldn’t be the only signing made in that position.

Kabadayi fits the profile of what Rangers need at this moment in time. He may not be the biggest and most well-known name, but he does have the ability to make a real splash at Ibrox and in the future he could turn a tidy profit.

It seems like everything is in place for the Gers to get this deal over the line and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see summer signing number four confirmed in the coming days. Hopefully, there won’t be any late hurdles in negotiations.

After that, it will be interesting to see where Clement looks to strengthen next as it seems quite clear this is only the beginning of a major overhaul.
