Chris Sutton in hysterics as Kris Boyd clip on Rangers resurfaces

Chris Sutton was left laughing over a resurfaced Kris Boyd clip about Rangers winning silverware on Tuesday.

The former Celtic striker reacted with two laughing emojis on his personal X account [17 December] to footage where he’s mocking Boyd over who has won the most silverware.

In the clip, the ex-Gers forward talks about the Bears having won the most titles, to which Sutton says to “give it a year” in the Sky Sports studio.

The Light Blues have won the most league titles in Scotland, with 55, but their Old Firm rivals are on their tails with 54 to their name and became the self-proclaimed most successful club with 119 major trophies after their win at Hampden Park in the Premier Sports Cup final on 15 December.

Rangers have let crown slip to Celtic in recent years

The Gers have let their crown slip to Celtic in recent years after failing to compete domestically with their Old Firm rivals.

After a 10-year wait, the Bears finally managed to lift the league title in 2021, but the Hoops have once again dominated since.

Philippe Clement’s team are 11 points behind the Bhoys in the Scottish Premiership, and Brendan Rodgers’ team will likely catch up to the Gers’ league trophy haul at the end of the season.

Under the Belgian manager, Rangers have been unable to beat Celtic, with just one draw in six fixtures in all competitions, and their seventh meeting is set to take place at Ibrox on 2 January.

The Light Blues had the best chance to beat that record at Hampden Park and almost came close, going toe-to-toe with their arch-rivals in the 3-3 draw before losing on penalties.

With the arrival of Patrick Stewart and Fraser Thornton, the Ibrox faithful hope for the return of stability and success in the foreseeable future.

In other Rangers news, Michael Stewart has tipped one star to leave after recent development.
