AS Roma are ready to give in on Tammy Abraham amid interest from Everton, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper reported [10 August, page 5] that the striker is on the Merseyside club’s transfer list, with the Serie A side set to face the Toffees at Goodison Park on Saturday 10 August.

Roma’s sporting director Florent Ghisolfi is also in Liverpool with the squad as the two sides meet in a pre-season friendly, adding more fuel to the Abraham to Everton rumours.

Everton to sign Tammy Abraham in new transfer?

Sean Dyche’s side could certainly take advantage of the pre-season match against Roma, with the former Chelsea star over in England for the friendly.

It appears that the two clubs are going to maintain a relationship, even after Dan Friedkin’s takeover attempt collapsed earlier this summer, and his role could be important in the transfer [Corriere dello Sport].

While the Toffees have invested well, continuing their transfer plans without a hitch, the attacking third of the pitch still looks to be a concern, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto available up top.

Iliman Ndiaye certainly adds some much-needed flair to the forward line, but given Beto’s lack of goals since arriving at Goodison Park and Calvert-Lewin’s inconsistencies and injury record.

It looks as though Everton are not the only team interested in the 26-year-old forward, who has experience in England with Chelsea and Aston Villa, but the club links could be telling this summer.

He notched 26 goals in 40 appearances for Villa as they won promotion to the Premier League in the 2018/19 campaign before returning to Stamford Bridge and leading the line incredibly well.

Abraham has had a mixed time in Italy, especially last term after suffering a season-ending injury and only making two league starts, but this could be an opportunity to restart his career.

In other Everton news, Kalvin Philipps would be “ideal” for Sean Dyche as Neil Warnock issues a new transfer verdict.
