Confirmed: Player tells agents to find new club with another Rangers exit on the cards

Ianis Hagi has revealed that he has asked his agents to find a new club with a Rangers exit on the cards this summer.

The Romania international spent last season out on loan at Alaves and will be participating in Euro 2024 later this month.

Per the Scottish Sun on 6 June, he appears resigned to parting ways with the Ibrox outfit before the window shuts.

He said: “My focus is on the Euros. I had talks with my agents and the pressure is on them.

“They know what I want for my future, it’s a pretty important summer for me from all points of view.

“I told them before going to the national team what I wanted,
“I expect them to work as well as possible, to find the right team and the right manager for me.

“I can’t say if I’ll be at Rangers or somewhere else. My future depends on my agents.”

Ianis Hagi appears to be angling for a Rangers exit

Hagi’s recent comments strongly suggest that he is looking to leave Ibrox this summer and is expected to follow the likes of Ryan Jack, Borna Barisic, Kemar Roofe and John Lundstram out of the door.

He has explicitly stated that he has instructed his agents to find him a new club, indicating a clear desire to move on from the club.

This is further reinforced by his statement that his future depends on his agents, implying a lack of control over his own destiny at Rangers.

Moreover, Hagi’s comments about focusing on the Euro 2024 and leaving the search for a new club to his agents indicate a detachment from Gers, as he seems more concerned with his international career and finding a new club that fits his personal requirements.

Given these circumstances, it would be prudent for the Bears to consider selling Hagi this summer.

Holding onto a player who is actively seeking a move could lead to a negative impact on team morale and performance.

By letting him go, they can reinvest the funds from his sale into strengthening the squad with players who are fully committed to the club’s cause.

In other Rangers news, a Premier League midfielder with “great quality” is now up for grabs this summer amid a recent development with a move to Ibrox on the cards.
