Bryan King believes that modern transfer fees are “Crazy” as Everton made an approach to sign Roma striker Tammy Abraham.
The Italian side are said to be demanding £21million for the England star, despite worrying injuries in recent years [Corriere Dello Sport].
The ex-Everton scout admitted that Abraham is clearly unhappy, but that the Toffees may need to watch Financial Fair Play regulations again with moves like this.
“The fees are crazy anyway,” he exclusively told Goodison News.
“He’s obviously not happy where he is now, it could be an interesting signing, that’s for sure.
“You’ve got a situation where Dele Alli could make a comeback and Abraham could be joining the club too.
“I would have thought they’re going to be watching the Financial Fair Play thing again, they haven’t moved many players on apart from Onana so that’ll be interesting to see how that unfolds.”
Everton to seal Tammy Abraham transfer?
It looks as though Abraham himself may bring any possible move to an end, with the striker deciding to wait on a move to AC Milan instead [Sky Italia].
With Onana being sold on top of Ben Godfrey and Lewis Dobbin, the Toffees should be fine for now, but they have to be smart with the players they choose to sign.
That has been the case so far, with Iliman Ndiaye and Jake O’Brien being perfect for the club.
In other Everton news, Alan Myers has shared what the Toffees are now chasing for signing number six.
