Everton could still part ways with Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer with his potential transfer named as “one to watch” by David Ornstein.

In the latest Transfer Deal Sheet for The Athletic, the journalist suggested that because of their poor financial condition, the Toffees are still under pressure to sort out their PSR issues and offloading Calvert-Lewin could prove to be an important step in meeting that demand.

Despite troubles in front of goal towards the end of the season, Calvert-Lewin’s performances meant he remained an attractive proposition for interested Premier League parties.

And, while interest from Newcastle United has cooled, Everton will still consider selling the striker before the deadline window closes.

Everton’s Financial Woes Near End with Friedkin Group Takeover

Everton’s financial problems seem to be nearing an end, thanks to a significant £200m injection from their prospective new owners, the Friedkin Group.

Dan Friedkin, who also owns Roma, has not only repaid a £160m loan but also provided additional funds for the club’s operational needs and the construction of their new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock.

This financial boost has come after the breakdown of a deal with 777 Partners, who failed to meet the Premier League’s requirements.

Friedkin’s involvement brings hope for Everton, with a decent track record at Roma, where he led the club to some success.

And, as the takeover process continues, the immediate reduction of Everton’s debts and the promise of stable, ambitious ownership suggest a brighter future for the Merseyside club.

In other Everton news, Newcastle United must pay £50million all in to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
