David Ornstein now says there's 'issues' with Aaron Wan-Bissaka's move to West Ham from Manchester United

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was meant to be down in London to sign for West Ham this weekend but there could now be a problem in the deal.

Wan-Bissaka was expected to undergo a medical with the Hammers today.

The Manchester United defender is one of Julen Lopetegui’s key targets and there is thought to be a confidence at the club that he’ll be a West Ham player.

However, while West Ham fans have waited all day to see if the move is signed off and announced, it now looks like there’s a hold up.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s move to West Ham has ‘issues’

Taking to X to share the latest news on Wan-Bissaka’s move to the Hammers, David Ornstein has said there are apparent issues between the player and clubs.

In the article Ornstein links to, it’s claimed that work is ongoing to get the deal done but it’s not been as straightforward as West Ham wanted.

Indeed, Wan-Bissaka is still in Manchester, having been expected to travel to London.

Wan-Bissaka’s departure is set to have a domino effect as Manchester United need him to leave in order to hit the go button on a deal for Noussair Mazraoui.

United are also expected to sign Matthijs de Ligt as they continue to improve the squad for Erik ten Hag.

Wan-Bissaka will want West Ham move sorting

With no sign of a new deal at Old Trafford and no sign of him being a regular in the XI either, Aaron Wan-Bissaka could do with getting this done.

It’s quite an exciting time at West Ham with their new manager in place and he is going to be part of a defence that has been completely reshaped.

Quite what the issues are, remains to be seen.

West Ham, though, will be keen to resolve them and ensure they get the deal over the line and importantly, get it done before the big kick off next weekend.
