With 10 days to go, Barcelona are still scrambling to sort out their finances. A number of sales would help ease concerns, and leave room in the first team’s salary budget to sign a couple of players.

As per COPE’s Victor Navarro, sporting director Deco confirmed to a fan that the Euro 2024 winner rejected the move earlier in the transfer window.
Deco met a fan in Barcelona who is curious about Barça's business. The boy asked him: "Will Nico come?", to which the sporting director replied: "I want him to come, but he doesn’t want to come". Then, the boy asked: "But will anyone come?", and Deco replied with a 'yes'.…

Navarro also revealed that Deco told this supporter to expect more signings before the end of the transfer window in 10 days’ time. It’s expected that Barcelona will pursue a left winger because of their failed attempt to sign Williams, while a pivot or full-back could also arrive in Catalonia.
It remains to be seen whether Barcelona can actually make the sales required to bring in any more players. For now, it’s hard to say, although the impending departure of Ilkay Gundogan, among others, will certainly help.
