'Definitely' - Wenham predicts Tottenham team v Ipswich, Ange to axe 'Fantastic' midfielder

John Wenham expects Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma to be axed against Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Sunday.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose thinks Dejan Kulusevski and Pape Matar Sarr will both definitely start in midfield at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (10 November).

Rodrigo Bentancur was a substitute while Bissouma started Spurs’ 3-2 UEFA Europa League defeat against Galatasaray at RAMS Park on Thursday (7 November).

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – expects Bissouma to make way for Bentancur on Sunday, despite being blown away by the midfielder’s performance against Galatasaray.

“Sarr and Kulusevski have been two of our better players this season,” Wenham said.

“I think they will both definitely start. In terms of that third midfielder, I think Bentancur will be recalled to the team. Bissouma was fantastic last night but he started and Bentancur was a substitute.

“Therefore, I could see Bentancur getting the nod for this one. However, whoever is picked, it is fantastic to have these options now.”

Yves Bissouma to be axed for Tottenham v Ipswich Town?

Postecoglou would have been disappointed by the manner of Spurs’ performance against Galatasaray, with one player blasted after a “horrendous” mistake.

However, the Australian did make wholesale changes in Istanbul. Therefore, confidence will still be high among the Spurs squad that they can beat Ipswich on Sunday.

And should they pick up three points, they could move as high as third in the Premier League heading into the November international break.
