Doctor: B Team likely to be first 'Major' step as Rangers want to beat Celtic to new transfer

Rangers or Celtic will gauge Callan Hamill’s fitness levels with the B Team if they are to sign him this summer, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the 15-year-old Scottish defender is not being targeted by the Old Firm sides to be a part of the senior setup and has urged the clubs to be methodical in dealing with the transition to first-team football.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “Hamill is just 15 and it’s unlikely that he will be signed to be a first-team regular.

That said, his transition into senior football has to be done methodically and with a careful understanding of his physical changes as a teenager.

It’s a time of many changes so that can lead to significant fluctuations compared to older footballers.

Playing a handful of games for the B team is likely to be the first major step for Rangers or Celtic to gauge how far away he is from being first-team ready.

Rangers must beat Celtic to Callan Hamill’s transfer

Gers must sign Hamill to secure a promising young talent and strengthen their defensive line for the future.

The 15-year-old centre-back, who’s capable of playing as a right-back, has already showcased his worth to the scouts.

Securing Hamill would not only bolster the Ibrox side’s academy but also demonstrate the club’s commitment to nurturing top Scottish talents, providing a pathway to first-team opportunities and potentially saving millions in future transfer fees.

In other Rangers news, a striker linked with a move to Ibrox now admits that he could leave and hold talks with his club.
